Hey Lovelies!

Happy Tuesday! Today's look is featuring one of my favorite buys this year; the Sophia Webster Fire Bird Sandals. I mean, I love Sophia Webster shoes, but when I saw these, I could not explain the feeling that came over me. I know, I know, it is just a pair of shoes, but sometimes I do get these nebulous feelings towards inanimate things. LOL.

When I purchased this dress from ASOS. It was the perfect reminder of what my mom use to tell me all the time, about "Birds of a Feather" (we all know that saying, right) which basically means that you are the friends you keep. I particularly love the colors and embroidery of the dress, and how it was so similar to the sandals, so I had to pair them together. I will also re-purpose this dress by wearing it as a tunic top, especially in the colder months.

Hey Lovelies,

The Nordstrom anniversary sale is here! I have been looking forward to this, as I have had my eye on a few items. I don't know about you, but I always love a good bargain!

Personally, I will be shopping for fall items such as sweaters, jackets, coats, tights, and beauty items, as I tend to shop for those in the summer because they tend to be more expensive in the fall and winter months. It is also the perfect opportunity to grab a gift for your spouse or significant other.

Many of the items tend to sell out very quickly, so if you see something that you like, it is advised to purchase them, because it usually a case of fastest fingers first. The sale will end on August 6th, and
by the 7th everything will go back to their normal prizes.

Fab Fashion Find

Hey Lovelies,

Happy Hump Day! Today's Fab Fashion find are these beautiful pair of pumps by ALDO shoes, called ALEANI. When I first spotted them. I liked that they came in different colors such as green, fuschia, turquoise, yellow and a multicolor, but I was very skeptical about them, because I have come to a point in my life where I have refused to buy uncomfortable shoes, or buy a pair of shoes just because, as I end up not wearing them. As a matter of fact, before I buy any pair of shoes now, I scan my entire closet in my head, to make sure that I have at least 8-10 outfits currently, to wear them with.

Anyways, when I tried these on, they were extremely comfortable! They were so comfortable, I even went to the ALDO website to leave feedback (I usually don't, although I find them very helpful) *insert covers face emoji*. Now on sale at £17 / $39 these are such a steal! You can dress up any pair of jeans with these. When I love something, I get it different colors, so yes, you guessed right!

Home Decor Love : Plus up to 30% at Target

When it comes to home decor, I tend to often go for bold colored pieces. I don't know why, but if I had a piece of black or grey furniture, I would get tired or bored of it after a while. On the other side, with bold colored pieces, you have to love it! When I mean love it, it would have to be a color or colors you won't get tired of too easily. For me, when I pick out furniture or decorative pieces, I often go for things that say a lot about my personality; fun, colorful, and happy (at least for the most part). I also have a thing for metallic (mostly gold) accents. I currently have a long list of items that I intend to give a face lift with gold spray paint, and I plan for them to be a DIY (do it yourself) project.

A lot of times, I find myself window shopping for furniture. If not for self discipline, I would probably have a hoard of furniture and home decor items stored somewhere. Quite often, I find myself at Target, drooling over their home decor and furniture pieces. My other favorite place to go to for home decor shopping is Home Goods or Home Sense, when I am in the UK. Like Target, they also always have the most unique and nicest things.

This week, Target is having a sale of up to 30% off on bed, bath furniture and home decor. So I thought I'd share some of the items that I have drooling at and absolutely love, incase you are in the market for some home decor pieces, as well. After all, there is love in sharing, right?

My Style: Pop of Color

Hey Lovelies,

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a fabulous week. My week went by pretty quickly. I also got a chance to catch up on a lot of TV shows. I also discovered a new show called Salem on Netflix, which had me quite hooked, and I did not stop watching until I finished all three (3) seasons. I am also considering starting Scandal. I know, I know, I have never seen Scandal *covers face and runs away*. This weekend, I intend to definitely catch up.

Lately, I have been wearing a lot of ruffles, and today's look is no exception. I wanted to add a pop of color to an all black look, and I used the perfect pair of No 21 mules. The ruffled oversized shirt can be worn as a dress, but I decided to pair it with pants. I also got the white version of the ruffled shirt dress as well, and it will be on heavy rotation this summer.

My Style: Summer Brights

Hey Lovelies,

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week? Personally, I feel like the week went by so weekly, it was over before I got the chance to even say, "Productive!" However, I have been enjoying all the warmth and sunshine, and have been using this opportunity to explore the city of Nottingham.

On one of my many days out, I decided to wear these absolutely stunning wedge sandals (which are currently on sale) by Sophia Webster. They are bright and beautiful, and I decided to style my whole look around it. I paired it with this pink pleated skirt and white ruffle off shoulder top from ASOS. I love pleats because they are very girlie, and this one with a side slit gave it a fun, sexy twist. The white was the 'perfect' contrast to all the colors.

It was a really fun day, as I got to take a really romantic stroll with the hubby, grab a bite, and we really bonded. We also met this really nice guy, who offered me his bike as a photo prop :) :) (last picture), and then he proceeded to take some pictures for himself. HAHA

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, AMERICA!

Hey Lovelies!

To all my American readers, Happy 4th of July! I remember when I moved to the States at 17 years old for College, full of hope of what the future will hold. Many years passed by and most of my dreams were fulfilled.

The day I became a US citizen was truly exciting for me. I surprisingly cried tears of joy! I do not know why, but I felt a huge sense of accomplishment. As I walked towards the immigration officer who handed me my certificate, I recognized that she was a patient that was new to our practice, who I'd seen a few weeks ago. As soon as I approached her, she recognized me, and yelled, "That's my doctor y'all!", in a room full of new naturalized citizens and everyone cheered loudly. I was both shy and truly happy!

Most people would say that America is that the land of free, for the most part I agree, but I pray for an America with peace, love, and equal opportunities for all Americans; Black,Whites, Latinas, Indians in every sense of the word!
