Lupita Nyong'o is really making waves internationally and I can't help but be happy for her! From multiple awards, to magazine covers, to endorsements, and the list goes on, just from one movie role. She truly deserves it.
One of the things I infer from her story is that when God decides to bless you, NO jupiter can stand in the way of your blessings. This is to encourage you all that your story can be like Lupita; one day, your time will come, and all your hard work will pay off. When it hits you, you won't be able to explain it! Just wait, you'll see! :)

In the chaotic world of today, it is easy to get caught up in all that is going on around us. You turn on the news, there are deaths, murders, missing children, cases of domestic violence, terroism, and all types of craziness. Sometimes, all I just want to do is leave my TV off or not go online because of all the potential things that you hear and see that can make you sad or mad, or both.
While we may have so much to worry about. Sometimes, it is also important to take care of ourselves as well as the people around us. We can only achieve this by living better and happier lives.
So here are a a few ideas on how to Improve your quality of life.
1) Slow Down
Some of us work crazy amount of hours with no breaks in between. All that stress can actually be detrimental to your health. I remember a patient I had who was a workaholic, never took the time to rest, or go for doctor visits. He was clearly stressed out, and was hypertensive. He did not know he was hypertensive till he ended up in emergency room, with a huge stroke.
Sometimes, it is ok to just take a break. Go on a vacation! Just drop everything and relax for a minute. You can engage in other things that you enjoy, like playing sports, gardening, shopping, whatever it is that makes you happy.

I hope you all had a great week! My week was a bit stressful and to top it off, I have been having major insomnia after working nights a week ago. In the past few weeks, my friends have been awesome, taking me out on my days off to make up for my birthday. On one of such outings, I decided to rock this bird print sweatshirt, C/O Rosegal. I wanted to add a bit of color to the monochrome look, by pairing the ensemble with my pink thigh high boots, which was perfect for the cold spring day.
It turned out to be such a fun girly outing with one of my bffs, Kiky. A big shout out to her for the pictures too! Also, thanks again to everyone for all the birthday love!

I hope your weekend was great. Mine was ok. I was on call on Saturday, so I only had Sunday to rest and relax. Spring is one of my favorite times of the year, and so far, I am loving the weather in Jersey since it was officially spring. We have been enjoying temperatures around the high 50s up to 60s. Hey Lovelies,
I hope everyone is having a great month so far? This month
has been crazy busy for me as I am in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), even
slightly worse this week because I am on night float.
If you have ever been in the ICU or have ever visited anyone
(friends or family), you will know that it can potentially make you sad. While
on my night shift today, after rounding on some of my patients, I sat down and
thought for quite some time. I thought about a lot of things; life, family, friends,
my patients (if they'd ever recover, etc), and if I enjoy what I do. I also
remembered a video that I had seen a long time ago and thought I'd share.
We can all agree that life is beautiful. It is the most
amazing thing to wake up every morning in good health, have a job to go to,
call our families who are in good health, kiss our children good bye, etc.
While some people might have things
going great, there are also a large amount of people who are going
through some type of stress, sadness, health issues, and some type of suffering.

Hey Lovelies!
Happy new month! How many of you fell for the April fool's day pranks? I fell for one, and it got me gooood. LOL. I started off with my Intensive Care Unit (ICU) rotation today, so I am expecting the month to be a prettie "hard core" month just because of the nature of the unit; having to care for patients that are in critical condition and all. Enough about me, I would just want to wish you all an amazing month ahead. May this month be better than the last month. Amen!
