I have been lusting over this Gold Michael Kors chain-link watch for sometime now. However, I do not think it makes much sense to get it, since it has the same face as the one I have now. My mum is visiting, so this past Saturday, we decided to have a fun day together. We went to the mall, and then visit friends and family. I wanted to wear something comfy, because with my mum, mall= whole day affair! LOL . Now I know where I got my shopping addiction from! :D  I had this  T-shirt in my closet that I bought in May to sleep in, so I just cut off the sleeves, and turned it to a muscle Tee. Usually when I go to the mall, I like to tie up my hair with a scarf, because I look crazy at the end of the day, from my hair flying all over the place, after trying so many clothes! haha. And this scarf happens to be my favorite one! I started out with flats, but grabbed my wedges too, just to dress up the outfit a little, when we visited family. This was the outcome! By the way, shout out to my mum for taking all these pictures in 20 secs in a bid to keep it moving! lol. Love her! Enjoy!

 

 Sometimes people come into your life and change it forever; Tamar Ross is one of those people! I will never forget the day we met. I travel a lot, and most women that I meet at the check in counter are mean to me; they make me pay for 0.05kg more, or re-pack my bags, you know, things like that. This always seemed to happen no matter how much I smile, and or are nice to them. You would think I would learn my lesson too, pack light, so that next time I will check-in smoothly and keep it moving. But no, no matter how much I tried, my bags were always borderline overweight, or overweight, and there was always a female waiting at the end of the check-in line to give me an attitude, and trust me when I say I have been through the works, but not Tamar. Due to this experience, I always wait patiently to be checked-in by men, because for the most part, they were nice to me.

I was done with the Basic Science years of Medical school in Grenada and was moving back to New Jersey, and just as I was about to check-in for my flight, with my, you guessed right, excess bags (3, 70kg suitcases , and I was allowed 1, 50kg bag). As soon as I saw Tamar at the end of the line, my heart sank, as I was thinking, there is no way she is letting me check in all these bags! Even if she did, she is going to charge for every single extra pound! The airline was very strict with their baggage allowance too. I whispered to my friend Abdul, who was with me, "Kum kum (my pet name for him), I am screwed!!"As I walked up to her, she smiled, and said, "how many bags are you checking in?" Still shaking I said 3! She calmly printed tags and put them on my bags, without saying a word. Then still smiling she handed me my boarding pass, and said "enjoy your flight!" I thought I was dreaming! Just then, another lady checking someone else in another line said, "What are you doing there?!! Why would you check in all those bags without charging her anything for it?! I will report you to the manager! Then Tamar turned to her and said, "Please mind your business!" then the other lady went crazy; she started yelling, and saying all sorts of things. Tamar apologized to me for having to witness what had happened. I thanked her immensely. On the plane, I thought about her kindness! She didn't know me, we had never met before, but she was very kind to me. I hoped and prayed that I would get an opportunity to repay her, and thankful the opportunities came along, and you can bet that I took it!

Fast forward 3 years later, she is one of my closest friends. In the 3 years that I have known her, she has been amazing! Always there when you need her, always willing to help, always kind, like the first day we met. She is truly beautiful inside and out. She is as smart as she is beautiful. A rare gem to say the least. Tamar, I will never forget how kind you were to me the first day we met. You are a perfect example of the importance of being kind to everyone, even strangers. As God has been merciful to add another year to your life, I want to join my prayers with my other friends out there to wish you an amazing day! I pray that God grants all your heart desires. I wish you all the love, happiness, good health and success in the world!
