One month done!!! Residency so far...
July 31, 2013
Hey Everyone.
I hope y'all are doing great. Let me start by apologizing for being somewhat "MIA" this past month. It was a bit of a rough month for me, because it was my first month of residency and I was doing an Obstetrics Rotation. I had to be there from 7am to 7pm, 6 days a week. I would come back home most days and straight to my bed I go! LOL. I was too tired to go anywhere or do anything! On a more positive note, it has been an amazing experience for me. In this month alone, I have learn't so much. I can now pretty much do a vaginal delivery on my own, which is quite exciting. It has been a great feeling to finally do something that I have been sooo passionate about. During this rotation, I would almost (sometimes I did) cry when the baby was delivered and placed on the mother's chest. To see the joy on each mother's face each time they saw their baby for the first, to me, was priceless. It was such a privilege to experience that moment with them.
The upcoming month is going to be a lot more chilled for me, because I am doing an elective this month. Elective months are basically months that you rotate through specialties that interest you. So in my elective month (August) I chose to do Radiology and Nephrology. So I will learn how to read radiographs (x-rays, CT Scan, ultrasounds, MRI) and about Kidneys! The time wont be enough to be a pro, but I will learn the basics!
So with my lighter schedule, I anticipate more outfit posts. I would also like to say a big thank you for all your support and love, and for visiting my blog!
